The Family Photo Montage reunion project

The Project:

A "meet the family" photo montage (a video of digital images set to music) will be part of the opening of the reunion activities on Friday morning, produced by Truly Unforgettable digital memories - aka Uncle Charlie. Each elder and cousin will get a copy of the DVD which will play on your PC or on your TV/DVD. The DVD will also include all the photos submitted for the project. In order to create this montage and the DVDs, your help to provide the photos is needed.

Here is the desired list of photos:

For cousins and their spouse / significant other:
  • A family photo, hopefully within the last year ( for those with children)
  • Recent photos of each individual - one with a clearly visible face, and another that shows them involved in something they like (sports, reading, relaxing, performing ....);
  • Old photos of each individual - approximately one for each decade, with a grade school, high school and college photo where available
  • A photo of your current residence
  • A few other photos that you think would be appreciated by all
For elders:
  • Family photo of their immediate family, including spouses if available.
  • Photos of Marshal and Lydia, along with their parents. A handful would be sufficient, but a dozen or more would be even better.
  • A photo of your current residence
  • A few other photos that you think would be appreciated by all

Desired Format:
  • Digital Negative with file size at least 500kb up to 2mb. These can be emailed to chuck@kcbruce.com with up to 10mb per email. If you scan a print, make sure it is at least 200 ppi resolution.
  • Prints can be snail mailed if you don't have the digital image, to 97 Crestview Dr, Jaffrey, NH 03452. If you want them back, put your name on the back and they will be returned at the reunion.

Schedule:
  • Sooner the better. Please do not wait to take that "final" photo before sending the ones you already have. It's much better to dribble them in as available than to wait until the last minute to deliver them.
  • The "first" minute is the day you see this request and the final minute will be June 15. Any photos submitted later than that are not likely to be included.
  • Other welcome input:
  • Ideas on music selections that would be good accompaniment to the show. Several songs will be included, and your input will give the final product a more universal appeal.

Reunion Update May 21, 2008

Reunion Update - May 08

The success of the reunion still depends on participation in the planning and execution of the event. We are blessed to have so many who have volunteered to help in one or more ways. In particular we are delighted that Lucy DeBruin has agreed to apply her experience, expertise and energy to organize and lead the planning for the heart of the reunion, which are the Friday and Saturday events.

Overall, the enthusiasm for the reunion seems to be building and many volunteers have begun to engage in the work to make this a fun, memorable and smooth running reunion. Help from across all areas of the is needed to keep the workload balanced and the programs on target. Please feel welcome to post your reactions on the blog or any other way you prefer to communicate. Help for blog use is available from me for any that need some familiarization on how to use it.
